As the year progresses, so might the homework. It also depends on how much they work in school and how much they can accomplish. Usually they will have spelling or vocabulary packets and maybe one or two other assignments to complete such as a math page, math facts, etc. Homework should last about 30 minutes. Students can keep track of homework in their assignment notebook.
Reading: It is very important that your child reads everyday for at least 20 minutes.
Challenge/Extra Credit- On occasion, there will be an extra credit assignment going home. It may be a longer research activity or a quick worksheet. All extra credit is OPTIONAL
